In questioni giorni di nomination per le categorie secondarie, concentrate principalmente sugli aspetti tecnici, è oggi il turno del sindacato dei costumisti, che ha selezionato i titoli con le migliori creazioni sartoriali della stagione. Perché se anche l'occhio vuole la sua parte, un bel film non è nulla senza dei bei costumi, soprattutto se si tratta di ambientati nel secolo scorso come Jackie, o nello sfavillante mondo del musical hollywoodiano come La La Land.
Ma non sono gli unici titoli a brillare tra le nomination, troviamo infatti The Dressmaker, Florence Foster Jenkins, Hail, Caesar! e Hidden Figures per le categorie di film di periodo, e Captain Fantastic, La La Land, Lion e Nocturnal Animals per la categoria dei film contemporanei. I vincitori delle categorie verranno annunciati il 21 febbraio durante la cerimonia di premiazione.
