I premi che si dedicano a selezionare il meglio della produzione europea dell'anno, hanno annunciato ieri le nomination per le categorie principali. Non vi è da stupirsi se i titoli più caldi dello scorso Festival di Cannes sono quelli che dominano le principali categoria. Un po' di Svezia, Francia, Grecia e Regno Unito, dipingono il variegato ritratto della brillante produzione cinematografica che il vecchio continente ci ha regalato nel corso del 2017.
Mentre 120 battiti al minuto e The Square, Palma d'Oro di Cannes, spiccano tra i migliori film, è The Killing of a Sacred Deer il titolo tra i più nominati, rientrando nella miglior regia e sceneggiatura per Yorgos Lanthimos, ma anche nella categoria del miglior attore con Colin Farrell. Nel campo attoriale anche gli attori di Happy End, di Michael Haneke, ricevono la nomination, lasciando a bocca asciutta la pellicola stessa del regista danese, non accolta del tutto positivamente.
Conquista anche qui la nomination inoltre l'astro nascente Florence Pugh per il gioiellino Lady Macbeth. Mentre Ozon riceve la nomination per la sceneggiatura di Frantz, nel miglior film animato si piazzano Loving Vincent e Louise by the Shore di Laguionie.
