Steve McQueen's 'Widows' was *fantastic*. Loved all the performances but Viola Davis and Elizabeth Debicki are next level and will be players in Award season. Another movie I can't recommend enough. One of the best film's at #TIFF18 and 2018. pic.twitter.com/zLvpFs6Dnb— Steven Weintraub (@colliderfrosty) 9 settembre 2018
Just finished watching #Widows (directed by Steve McQueen) at #TIFF and I am shaking. Y’all aren’t ready. Not. Ready.— R (@N0ChoiceToMake) 9 settembre 2018
AT ALL.
I've RT'd what @adambvary thinks about #Widows because I agree!— Kate Aurthur (@KateAurthur) 9 settembre 2018
I saw this movie before #TIFF18, but I'm still going to say it's my favorite movie of the festival. It's too bad that every actor in #Widows needs to be nominated for Oscars, but that's just the way it needs to be. https://t.co/R1qBe9JYvr
I’m a sucker for a good heist movie and WIDOWS is a winner. Steve McQueen assembled and directed one fiery cast. All hail, Viola Davis. #TIFF2018— Bianca Asnaran (@bangeleno) 9 settembre 2018
You could argue for 5-6 people who give the movie’s best performance and everyone would be right, but Daniel Kaluuya might be the one I think about the longest— as scary and charismatic as a villain gets— kateyrich (@kateyrich) 9 settembre 2018
Elizabeth Debicki is the stand-out from “Widows.” I wish the movie worked for me but it doesn’t. Felt like it wanted to be way longer (which of course it originally was). But McQueen is definitely trying a thing or two in the filmmaking. Experimenting.— Kristopher Tapley (@kristapley) 9 settembre 2018
You could isolate any single scene in WIDOWS and I'd have more to say about it than most movies I've seen this year— Kyle Buchanan (@kylebuchanan) 9 settembre 2018
WIDOWS: Highest-grade pulp from dir. Steve McQueen and co-writer @TheGillianFlynn, relocating the British miniseries to a spectacularly corrupt Chicago setting. @violadavis and @danielkaluuya top a very fine ensemble. Ringer: @CynthiaEriVo, who'd tone up any heist. #TIFF18— Michael Phillips (@phillipstribune) 9 settembre 2018
