Oh man. You’re gonna wanna see #VICEmovie. Adam McKay is the master of making the grotesque palatable and even, at times, hilarious. Christian Bale’s performance as Cheney will win an Oscar and hopefully we’ll never hear anyone say “I’d take Bush back in a second” ever again.

Searingly sharp, bitingly engaging and wickedly hilarious, Adam McKay has a real eye for disseminating a complex political system manipulated expertly by people behind the curtains. Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Sam Rockwell and Steve Carell really shine through in #Vice.

Carell is in a lot more of the movie, but Rockwell is more memorable and gets a lot of big laughs. Really, though, it’s about Bale and Adams. They are both outstanding

“Vice” is exceptional. It’s also sobering as hell. Adam McKay is in full-blown character study territory and Christian Bale could win an Oscar — if we’re ready to go there with this chapter. https://t.co/8R5UbojXm3 via @variety

VICE is wild and absolutely scathing. Christan Bale is magnetic.

Adam McKay is a one-of-a-kind storyteller in that he makes you chomp and chew on the ideas he’s presenting in his films and not just consume them. As with The Big Short, he makes tough topics accessible while also pulling no punches in challenging convention. Vice is a stunner.

Christian Bale’s performance in @vicemovie is in a league of his own with his transformation as Dick Cheney. It’s daring, he’s unrecognizable. He’s has outdone himself as Cheney! Rockwell, Adams, Carrell and Perry are all fantastic! @AnnapurnaPics #vicemovie

VICE: WOW! Bold, daring, very ambitious! Bravura writing & directing by Adam McKay! Gripping & riveting dark comedy! Tour-de-force performances by #ChristianBale & #AmyAdams! Bale will WIN the Oscar for Best Actor! #ViceMovie @AnnapurnaPics pic.twitter.com/nn2qYuiTJ5

It’s not just the weight and the makeup. Christian Bale transforms into Dick Cheney in VICE. There is not a trace of him in the voice, movement, even the eyes. pic.twitter.com/GmM6PQkcSH
