Alcuni show sottovalutati o addirittura del tutto snobbati ieri dai Golden Globe, sono invece rientrati nella rosa dei titoli candidati al premio del sindacato degli sceneggiatori americani.
Tra i candidati di quest'anno ai Writers Guild of America Awards tra le serie drammatiche ci sono The Americans, Better Call Saul e The Crown, tra le comedy The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, GLOW e The Good Place. Ulteriore riconoscimento per Pose, dopo le due candidature ottenute ai Globe, che rientra tra le migliori nuove serie dell'anno insieme a Hill House e Homecoming. Tra le serie adattate ci sono Sharp Object, American Crime Story e la rediviva Maniac.
Bob's Burgers ottiene tre delle sei candidature disponibili nella categoria dedicata alle serie animate, mentre Succession, The Handmaid's Tale e Barry sono le uniche serie ad ottenere due nomination in due differenti categorie.
Le restanti categorie dei WGA Awards, quelle dedicate alle produzioni cinematografiche, verranno annunciate il 7 gennaio, mentre la cerimonia di premiazione si terrà il 17 febbraio, esattamente una settimana prima degli Oscar. Di seguito potete leggere tutti i candidati delle categorie televisive.
