SE il film messicano di Cuaròn si porta a casa i premi come miglior lungometraggio e miglior regia, il dramma in costume di Yorgos Lanthimos sorprende con i trofei per la migliore attrice (Olivia Colman), attrice non protagonista (Rachel Weisz) e la sceneggiatura dell'anno.
Ottimo riscontro anche per Cold War di Pawel Pawlikowski, premiato come film straniero e per la fotografia.
