Toronto: 'Joker', 'Il cardellino', 'Judy' e 'Jojo Rabbit' nella selezione del festival canadese

La prima ondata di titoli del Toronto International Film Festival è stata appena annunciata, e comprende tutti i titoli più attesi della stagione cinematografica, nonché tutti quei film su cui puntare per i prossimi award. Grandi autori, ma anche titoli che mirano al successo del pubblico.

A cominciare da Joker di Todd Phillips, con Joaquin Phoenix nel nuovo ritratto del villain più celebre dell'universo di Batman; e sarà in buona compagnia con il dramma Il cardellino, tratto dal romanzo best-seller; nonché Judy, biopic sulla Garland con la Zellweger e Jojo Rabbit, attesissimo ritorno in sala di Taika Waititi.

Ci saranno poi anche Ford v. Ferrari, biopic con Bale e Damon, il nuovo film di Baumbach per Netflix, dal titolo Marriage Story; e anche Harriet, Frankie con la Huppert, The Laundromat di Sodehbergh, e il ritorno dei fratelli Safdie, Uncut Gems.

Una selezione già ricchissima, ma che verrà infoltita ancora di più nelle prossime settimane con le aggiunte dell'ultimo minuto. Il Festival di Toronto si svolgerà dal 5 al 15 settembre.
