Gotham Awards: 'Nomadland' è il miglior film, premiato Riz Ahmed per 'Sound of Metal'

All'edizione 2021 dei Gotham Awards, giunti al loro 30° anniversario, trionfa come miglior film Nomadland di Chloé Zhao, che già aveva vinto lo stesso riconoscimento pochissimi anni prima con il suo debutto cinematografico del 2018 con The Rider.
I premi organizzati ogni anni dalla Film Independent Project, celebrano ogni anno il meglio del cinema low-budget statunitense; miglior attore è Riz Ahmed per Sound of Metal, a sorpresa miglior attrice è Nicole Beharie per uno dei film indie più apprezzati del 2020, Miss Juneteenth:
