Alle nomination ai Critics 'Choice Awards 2021, assegnati ogni anno dalla Broadcast Film Critics Association, domina il Mank di David Fincher con ben 12 nomination, un numero che potrebbe duplicarsi agli Academy Awards; a sorpresa, segue con ben 10 menzioni il Minari di Lee Isaac-Chung.

Ottimi risultati anche per Notizie dal mondo di Paul Greengrass (7 candidature), Ma Rainey's Black Bottom (8 menzioni), One Night in Miami, Una donna promettente e Nomadland con 6 nomination ciascuno. L'Italia c'è con tre candidature a La vita davanti a sé, (miglior film straniero, miglior canzone, miglior attore esordiente).

I vincitori verranno svelati in una cerimonia televisiva sul canale satellitare Usa CW domenica 7 marzo.
