La Hollywood Film Critics Association incorona Una donna promettente miglior film dell'anno, assieme ad altri riconoscimenti nelle categoria della miglior attrice protagonista a Carey Mulligan, miglior sceneggiatura originale e regista esordiente a Emerald Fennell.

Tra gli altri interpreti premiati, Delroy Lindo per Da 5 Bloods, Paul Raci per Sound of Metal e la coreana Youn Youh-Jung per Minari. Doppio premio alla regia per Chloé Zhao e Darius Marder.
