Ai 19° Visual Effects Society Awards, i premi assegnati ogni anno dal sindacato di tecnici degli effetti visivi, viene batutto a sorpresa il favorito Tenet e vince nella categoria cinematografica maggiore The Midnight Sky di George Clooney.
A fare però piazza pulita di tutte le sue candidature è Soul di Pete Docter, con tre riconoscimenti; nel campo televisivo, trionfano The Mandalorian di Disney + e Lovecraft Country di HBO. Se ai Bafta dovesse trionfare Tenet, avremo tra le mani l'ennesima categoria indecisa fino agli Oscar.
