Alle nomination agli Independent Spirit Awards 2021 c'è anche l'Italia con A Chiara di Jonas Carpignano; l'acclamato film presentato a Cannes 2021 è stato nomination dalla giuria del maggior premio del cinema indipendente e low budget americano come miglior lungometraggio, assieme a titoli come C'mon c'mon e The Lost Daughter.
