Primissimi premi della critica statunitense con i Sunset Circle Awards e primo dominio per Tàr di Todd Field; il film presentato a Venezia 79 ha portato a casa i riconoscimenti per il miglior film, miglior regia, sceneggiatura ed attrice protagonista a Cate Blanchett; miglior attore protagonista è Austin Butler per Elvis.

Tra gli attori non protagonisti premiati, Ke Huy Quan per Everything Everywhere All At Once (che porta a casa anche il riconoscimento al miglior cast) e Carey Mulligan per Anche Io:
