National Society of Film Critics, trionfano 'Tàr' e Cate Blanchett

Alla National Society of Film Critics trionfo di Tàr di Todd Field e della sua protagonista Cate Blanchett; il film presentato a Venezia 79 con grande successo di critica si porta a casa i riconoscimenti per il miglior film, la miglior attrice e la miglior sceneggiatura.

Miglior attore protagonista è Colin Farrell per After Yang e Gli spiriti dell'isola, mentre interpreti di supporto sono stati incoronati rispettivamente Ke Huy Quan per Everything Everywhere All At Once e Kerry Condon per il film scritto e diretto da Mrtin McDonagh. 

Con le vittorie alla National Society of Film Critics, Cate Blanchett è diventata la prima interprete femminile ad ottenere per la seconda volta il trittico più prestigioso della critica americana per lo stesso ruolo: New York, Los Angeles e National Society of Film Critics, nel 2014 per Blue Jasmine ed ora per Tàr. Ke Huy Quan invece è il primo attore asiatico a vincere il trittico della stampa Usa per lo stesso ruolo.
