Writers Guild Awards, vincono le sceneggiature di 'Women Talking' e 'Everything Everywhere All At Once'

Ai Writers Guild Awards 2023, i premi più importanti alla scrittura cinematografica e televisiva assegnati ogni anni dal sindacato sceneggiatori, vincono i due riconoscimenti più importanti Sarah Polley per Women Talking e i Daniels per Everything Everywhere All At Once.

La prima, dopo aver ottenuto i premi alla sceneggiatura non originale qui, ai Critics' Choice Awards e agli Scripter, è la favorita statistica all'Oscar di categoria, anche se il Bafta di Niente di nuovo sul fronte occidentale (non candidato ai WGA) potrebbe presagire una lotta interna all'ultimo voto. Ai premi inglesi difatti, nemmeno Sarah Polley era candidata per lo script adattato.

Per la sceneggiatura originale trionfano, come era prevedibile, i Daniels per Everything Everywhere All At Once, anche se ai WGA non era candidato Martin McDonagh, che per Gli spiriti dell'isola ha comunque ottenuto Golden Globe e Bafta di categoria. Per l'Oscar alla sceneggiatura originale, sarà lotta per una manciata di voti, letteralmente.
