ASC Awards, Mandy Walker è la prima direttrice della fotografia a vincere il premio per ‘Elvis’

La American Society of Cinematographers, il sindacato dei direttori della fotografia, ha premiato Mandy Walker con il suo riconoscimento più important per Elvis. La direttrice è la prima donna in assoluto ad aver vinto il premio del suo sindacato.

Un premio da record che potrebbe diventare traguardo storico domenica 12 marzo se la Walker dovesse ottenere l’Oscar per la miglior fotografia: diventerebbe la prima DOP di sesso femminile ad essere riconosciuta dall’Academy nonostante sia la terza donna candidata nella categoria dopo Rachel Morrison per Mudbound e Ari Wegner per Il potere del cane.
