Emmy 2013 – Le nomination

Giornata dedicata alle nomination agli Emmy – meglio, o peggio noti come gli Oscar della TV a stelle e strisce. Nella giungla di categorie e nomination richiederebbe un’intera enciclopedia analizzarle tutte. Limitiamoci, al momento, ad alcuni dati – e circoscriviamo anche quelli ai tre campi principali: comedy, drama e miniserie – per dire che con 17 candidature fa la parte del leone la seconda stagione di American Horror Story (Asylum), seguito a 16 nomination da Game of Thrones e a 15 dal film-biografia sul pianista Liberace, Behind The Candelabra. Si ferma a 12 la miglior serie comica degli ultimi tre anni, Modern Family, mentre è a quota 11 il campione uscente sul fronte drammatico, Homeland. 
House of Cards è la prima serie-web (trasmessa, anzi scaricabile su Netflix) a ricevere la nomination come miglior serie (Drama, in questo caso, ma non è mai accaduto nemmeno sul versante comico), mentre per la prima volta sono ben 7 le interpreti candidate come Migliore attrice Drama. 
Tengono botta, con 13 nomination, l’ultima stagione di 30 Rock (serie più candidata tra quelle comiche), e Breaking Bad, mentre il 4 volte campione Mad Men si ferma a 12, con l’altro cult, Downton Abbey.
