Satellite Awards: ‘Dunkirk’ e ‘The Shape of Water’ dominano le nomination

Assegnati ogni anno dalla International Press Academy, i cosiddetti Golden Satellite Awards sono da sempre tra i primi circoli di critica internazionale a svelare le proprie candidature fungendo da apripista per la pioggia di premi della critica statunitense del mese di Dicembre. Nonostante non abbiano una storia di corrispondenza esatta tra i propri risultati e quelli dell’Academy, vale la pena ricordare le loro Nomination.

A dominare le candidature del 2017 sono rispettivamente Dunkirk di Christopher Nolan con ben 11 menzioni a cui segue il fantasy The Shape of Water di Guillermo Del Toro con 10; ottimi risultaiti anche per Tre manifesti a Ebbing, Missouri e Lady Bird con 6 nomination ciascuno; grande assente è The Post, non visionato in tempo dai membri dell’IPA. Da sottolineare l’assenza di Luca Guadagnino e Timothée Chalamet nelle rispettive categorie per Chiamami col tuo nome, che ottiene comunque la candidatura al miglior film.
I vincitori saranno svelati il 10 Febbraio 2018.
