L’edizione 2020 dei British Independent Film Awards è caratterizzata dal cinema di genere; horror e thriller la fanno da padrone nelle candidature di quest’anno, dominate dalle 17 nomination di Saint Maud, seguito dal gioiellino di Netflix His House.
Non manca ovviamente il dramma distribuito da Sony Picture Classics The Father di Florian Zeller, che si porta a casa candidature importanti, tra cui film, regia, sceneggiatura e attore protagonista per Anthony Hopkins. La cerimonia di premiazione si svolgerà ai primi di febbraio, anhe se i dettagli dell’evento e la data ancora non sono stati resi noti.
