Gotham Awards: tre premi a ‘Scappa – Get Out’, ma il miglior film è ‘Chiamami col tuo nome’

Come da tradizione, i premi della Independent Film Project con sede a New York hanno dato il via ufficioso alla danze; la awards season è appena iniziata e i Gotham Awards 2017 hanno già favorito due titoli su tutti: i piccoli fenomeni indie Scappa – Get Out e Chiamami col tuo nome.

A trionfare difatti alla cerimonia tenutasi questa notte al Cipriani Hotel di New York è stato il film di Luca Guadagnino, vincitore anche del Breakthrough Actor per lo straordinario interprete Timothée Chalamet; l’horror satirico di Jordan Peele si accaparra invece i trofei come Breakthrough Director, la miglior sceneggiatura e l’Audience Award assegnato dal pubblico.

Migliori attori indipendenti sono stati nominati James Franco per The Disaster Artist e Saoirse Ronan per Lady Bird, ormai nomi essenzialmente sicuri nella strada verso le nomination agli Oscar del prossimo anno.
