I 26° Screen Actors Guild Awards hanno confermato che, almeno per quanto riguarda la corsa all?oscar al miglior film, c’è gara tra due titoli: Parasite di Bong Joon-ho vince a sorpresa il Best Ensemble Cast e diventa il primo film non in lingua inglese a ricevere tale riconoscimento dal sindacato attori di Hollywood.
Un segnale fortissimo che posiziona immediatamente il film sud-coreano vincitore anche della Palma d’Oro in diretta competizione con 1917, vincitore del PGA il giorno precedente. Il sindacato attori conferma, nelle categorie cinematografiche, i quattro interpreti che dovrebbero riconfermarsi anche agli Oscar: Joaquin Phoenix, Reneé Zellweger, Brad Pitt e Laura Dern.
Nel comparto televisivo, ottimi riconoscimenti per The Crown e La fantastica signora Maisel.
