Sundance 2017: Applausi per Nicholas Hoult in ‘REBEL IN THE RYE’

Dopo gli applausi scroscianti per “Call Me By Your Name” di Luca Guadagnino e più recentemente dell’atipico thriller/horror “Get Out” di Jordan Peele, il Sundance Film Festival non risparmia gli apprezzamenti della stampa americana neanche per il biopic Rebel in the Rye.

Ispirato alla biografia “J.D.Salinger: A Life” di Kenneth Slawenski, il film ripercorre le tappe fondamentali della giovinezza dello scrittore di culto americano fino alla pubblicazione del capolavoro “Il Giovane Holden”.

A dirigere e scrivere c’è Danny Strong (sceneggiatore di The Butler, Game Change e co-creatore della serie tv di successo Empire), a dare un volto a Salinger c’è invece il giovane e bravo Nicholas Hoult, applauditissimo dal pubblico del Sundance.

Nel cast anche il Premio Oscar Kevin Spacey e la vincitrice dell’Emmy Sarah Paulson.

Ancora senza una data di uscita USA, il film di Danny Strong sarà distribuito probabilmente entro fine 2017 per una eventuale qualifica per gli Oscar venturi.
