New York Film Festival 2016- La Selezione Ufficiale

Ricchissimo il carnet dell’edizione 2016 del New York Film Festival; non soltanto le tre grandi anteprime mondiali che apriranno, chiuderanno e faranno il giro di boa della kermesse (parliamo del documentario The 13th, e delle pellicole 20th Century Women e The Lost City of Z), ma grandi sorprese internazionali acclamate e premiate nei festival invernali e primaverili.

Si aggiungono alla lineup completa del NYFF 2016 titoli già premiati a Cannes e al Sundance come Manchester By The Sea, Elle, la Palma d’Oro I, Daniel Blake e il Neruda di Pablo Larraìn; e non manca l’Italia che si farà valere a New York ( e forse agli oscar) con il premiatissimo Fuocoammare di Gianfranco Rosi, già vincitore dell’Orso d’Oro a Berlino 2016.

Grande assente? l’attesissimo Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk di Ang Lee (ma probabilmente lo vedremo in apertura a Novembre all’AFI Fest), anche se la co-protagonista Kristen Stewart ne esce vittoriosa con ben due titoli in Selezione Ufficiale (sarà al NYFF sia con “Personal Shopper” che con “Certain Women” di Kelly Reichardt).
La kermesse newyorkese si svolgerà dal 30 Settembre al 16 Ottobre 2016.
