Detroit Film Critics: Jessica Chastain, Patrick Stewart e Robert Pattinson tra i nominati

Dopo le vittorie più altisonanti dei National Board of Review, e dei circoli della critica di New York e Los Angeles, mai tanto concisi sui vincitori come quest’anno, è il turno dei novizi Detroit Film Critics, che a scanso di equivoci non hanno dato spazio al film di Kathryn Bigelow, ma hanno stilato un interessante selezione di nomi per le loro nomination.

Al contrario dei precedenti circoli della critica infatti, che sono soggetti a un ballottaggio immediato per la scelta dei vincitori, quelli di Detroit stilano le più classiche cinquine per poi riservare le proclamazioni al momento della cerimonia, che quest’anno avrà luogo il 7 dicembre.
Tra i nominati sorprendono sicuramente le presenze di Patrick Stewart per Logan, Robert Pattinson per Good Time, con i ricorrenti Gary Oldman, Timothée Chalamet e James Franco; sul versante femminile assente Meryl Streep, trovando invece Jessica Chastain per Molly’s Game, forse un nome da non sottovalutare per i prossimi Oscar, con Sally Hawkins, Frances McDormand e la vincitrice preannunciata, nonché beniamina dei circoli della critica, Saoirse Ronan, per Lady Bird. Mentre Gerwig, Anderson, Del Toro e Nolan si contendono la vittoria della regia, risulta inusuale la selezione del miglior film con The Disaster Artist, Get Out e The Shape of Water tra gli altri.
