Il Nevada Film Critics Circle premia in massa il film scritto e diretto da Martin McDonagh con ben tre riconoscimenti; è difatti Tre manifesti a Ebbing, Missouri a vincere i riconoscimenti per il miglior film, attore non protagonista a Sam Rockwell e sceneggiatura originale.
Non mancano però anche i premi “pesanti” per The Shape of Water, che si accaparra la miglior regia a Guillermo del Toro, la miglior attrice a Sally Hawkins e la scenografia; ottimo riscontro anche per The Disaster Artist, vincitore dei premi come sceneggiatura non originale e attore protagonista a James Franco, ex-aequo con Gary Oldman.
