Due sono i premi invece ricevuti da BlackKklansman, uno per la sceneggiatura co-scritta da Spike Lee e l'altro al miglior attore protagonista John David Washington; miglior attrice è Regina Hall per la piccola commedia indipendente Support The Girls, mentre Se la strada potesse parlare ottiene i premi per la miglior attrice non protagonista a Regina King e per il miglior film indipendente.
