Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards 2019: ‘La fattoria dei nostri sogni’ e ‘One Child Nation’ tra i film candidati

Sono state annunciate le candidature per la quarta edizione dei Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards, uno dei premi più giovani di Hollywood, che da qualche anno ha separato i documentari dalla cerimonia principale dei prestigiosi Critic’s Choice Awards, regalando loro una apposita premiazione.

Il film con il maggior numero di candidature è The Biggest Little Farm (La fattoria dei nostri sogni per il mercato italiano), con ben 7 nomination, comprese quelle al miglior documentario e al miglior regista. Seguono Apollo 11 e They Shall Not Grow Old di Peter Jackson con 6 menzioni a testa. Ottimi anche i risultati ottenuti da One Child Nation, film rivelazione del Sundance che sembra puntare dritto agli Oscar. Risultati più esigui per alcuni dei documentari più chiacchierati della stagione come Hail Satan?, Aquarela e Rolling Thunder Revue: A Bob Dylan Story di Martin Scorsese
I premi verranno consegnati il prossimo 10 novembre. In quell’occasione verranno consegnati dei riconoscimenti speciali a Michael Apted e Frederick Wiseman
