Independent Spirit Awards, 5 nomination a ‘Uncut Gems’ e ‘The Lighthouse’, premiato il cast di ‘Storia di un matrimonio’

Sono state annunciate le candidature ai 35° Independent Spirit Awards, i maggiori riconoscimenti americani dedicati al cinema low-budget. A dominare per numero di candidati sono, rispettivamente, Uncut Gems dei fratelli Safdie e The Lighthouse di Robert Eggers.

Nonostante il secondo titoli non abbia conquistato la candidatura al miglior film  nono presenti nelle categorie attoriali Robert Pattinson e Willem Dafoe, così come per Uncut Gems è arrivata la nomination per l’ottimo Adam Sandler.

Snobbato, almeno in parte, Storia di un matrimonio, che non ottiene la candidatura per nessuno dei suoi interpreti, così come manca Noah Baumbach dalla cinquina dei registi, quando è invece presente per la sceneggiatura. Il film originale Netflix ha comunque già un premio in tasca: il Robert Altman Award all’intero cast, che ritirerà durante la cerimonia che si terrà sabato 8 febbraio presso Santa Monica, un giorno prima della notte degli Oscar. I film che vengono insigniti di questo riconoscimento corale non possono partecipare alla competizione nelle categorie attoriali secondo le regole dell’ISA.
