‘A Ghost Story’ è il miglior film per i critici dello Utah, nello stato dell’Indiana trionfa ‘Lady Bird’

Non si sono fatti attendere i giudizi sia della Indiana Film Journalists Association e dello Utah Film Critics Circle; entrambi circoli di critica regionale di poco peso rispetto ai grandi trofei della awards season, sono però degni di menzione per i loro vincitori spesso non convenzionali.

I critici dell’Indiana scelgono Lady Bird come vincitore assoluto con ben cinque riconoscimenti pesanti (film, regia, attrice, attrice non protagonista, sceneggiatura originale), mentre nello Utah si sceglie la strada della non convenzionalità e viene premiato come miglior film A Ghost Story, piccolo gioiello indie diretto da David Lowery. La lotta per la regia si risolve tutta tra Guillermo del Toro e Christopher Nolan, mentre quella per la miglior attrice tra Sally Hawkins e Frances McDormand. Menzioni inattese per il miglior attore per Andy Serkis in The War – Il pianeta delle scimmie e lo scomparso recentemente Harry Dean Stanton per Lucky.
