La European Film Academy ha annunciato i titoli vincitori degli Excellence Awards nelle categoria tecniche degli EFA 2024, i maggiori riconoscimenti al cinema europeo dell’anno.
A farla da padrone sono stati The Substance di Coralie Fargeat con due riconoscimenti (miglior fotografia ef effetti speciali) e The Girl with the Needle (miglior scenografia e colonna sonora). Tra gli altri riconoscimenti assegnati, anche Emilia Perez per il montaggio dell’anno.
Di seguito la lista dei primi vincitori. Per quanto riguarda le categorie più “di peso” la cerimonia si terrà il prossimo 6 dicembre:

Benjamin Kračun for THE SUBSTANCE
The jury: “Just as Elisabeth Sparkle’s world in THE SUBSTANCE contracts, the cinematography of Benjamin Kracún simultaneously excels. Despite the constraints of her environment, he playfully explores her physical and psychological demise with highly stylised lens distortions and manipulations. It is loud and glossy, but also manages to eke out an unexpected intimacy and vulnerability. The audience is transported through to an unbearably painful, and hilariously raucous ending, achieved only through collaboration with all departments and is undoubtably a celebration of cinematography and cinema.”
