Tradizionalmente sempre visti come l’apripista decisivo alla Awards Season , i vincitori della National Board of Review hanno da sempre influenzato i nomi che perlomeno, nel bene o nel male, rivedremo nei seguenti premi della critica e poi verosimilmente agli Oscar, e ci sono molte sorprese…
A trionfare come Miglior Film è il capolavoro blockbuster di George Miller Mad Max:Fury Road, titolo veramente inaspettato ma che adesso fa balzare lo sci-fi distopico in vetta alle classifiche dei pronsotici, ma forse il vero grande vincitore è l’altro blockbuster dell’anno: The Martian di Ridley Scott che si porta a casa Regia, Attore a Matt Damon e Sceneggiatura Non Originale; grandi conferme anche per Brie Larson Miglior Attrice per Room e in Supporting fa paicere veder confermati due veterani del cinema americano: Sylvester Stallone per Creed e Jennifer Jason Leigh per The Hateful Eight.
