L’Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences ha svelato le shortlist di nove categorie tecniche ed artistiche di titoli che lotteranno per la candidatura all’Oscar il prossimo mese. Nella sezione dei nove film selezionati per il film straniero fuori l’Italia con la speranza Dogman.
Le categorie coinvolte nella selezione sono quelle del documentario, documentario cortometraggio, cortometraggio, cortometraggio animato, film straniero, trucco ed acconciatura, colonna sonora, canzone originale ed effetti visivi. Entrano nelle shortlist titoli come Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther e Mary Poppins Returns con ben due canzoni selezionate per la candidatura di categoria; sempre nelle stessa sezione musicale, A Star Is Born rientra con la sola canzone “Shallow”. Per quanto riguarda la categoria del film straniero, lotta preventiva tra i due titoli in bianco e nero Roma e Cold War.
