Ai 37° USC Scripter Awards la spunta la sceneggiatura adattata di Conclave. Curata dallo sceneggiatore Peter Straughan, è tratta dal romanzo omonimo di Robert Harris, a cui si è ispirato il pluripremiato film diretto da Edward Berger con Ralph Fiennes e Isabella Rossellini.
Con i premi alla sceneggiatura ricevuti ai Golden Globe, ai Critics’ Choice Awards, ai Bafta ed ora agli Scripter, Conclave è il favorito statistico all’Oscar di categoria. Anche se a poterlo insidiare ci potrebbe pensare Nickel Boys di RaMell Ross, che ha conquistato la settimana scorsa il premio ai Writers Guild Awards (dove però Conclave non era candidato).
