Washington D.C. Film Critics: ‘Black Panther’ e ‘La favorita’ dominano, tra le attrici Erivo e Kidman

Dopo quella di New York e Detroit, e oggi il turno della critica di Washington D.C. che in qualche modo riesce a distinguersi dai precedenti circoli della critica sorprendendo con qualche titolo, e qualche interprete, ancora non entrato in gioco. A cominciare da Black Panther, grande speranza della Disney agli Oscar, che potrebbe ritagliarsi un piccolo spazio agli Oscar. Non lo ritroviamo tra i migliori film dell’anno ma in diverse categorie come regia, miglior cast, sceneggiatura, scenografia e colonna sonora.

Finalmente l’inarrivabile Yorgos Lanthimos riceve una nomination come miglior regia per La favorita, che rientra anche tra i migliori film dell’anno, insieme a Green Book, Roma, anche miglior film straniero, l’immancabile A Star Is Born e Se la strada potesse parlare. Tra i registi troviamo inoltre anche Jenkins, Cuaron e Cooper. Le vere sorprese tuttavia sono nella categoria della miglior attrice non protagonista dove vengono nominate per la prima volta in circoli della critica, le fantastiche Cyntha Erivo per 7 sconosciuti a El Royale e Nicole Kidman per Boy Erased. Tra gli attori Malek sembra rafforzarsi, ma è Ethan Hawke per First Reformed ad essere l’interprete che non ci aspettavamo di vedere in ogni award quest’anno, ed è tutto meritato.
